Almost Paradise offers the best year-round dry fly fishing in Colorado. With its proximity to the golf, skiing, dining and culture found in Aspen and Basalt, it offers the finest combination of great trout fishing and a world class life style.
Almost Paradise is located 11 miles from Basalt and 31 miles from Aspen, Colorado. It consists of over 31 acres of land with nearly a mile of Frying Pan River frontage, controlling access on both sides of the River. It abuts the White River National Forest on the south, offering private access to excellent and nearly untouched elk and bear hunting.
Improvements on the property include the historic cabin constructed in 1923, storage garages, a fishing pond for children or beginners.
Throughout the property are maintained walking trails, including the Nature Trail, which follows the historic 1890 wagon trail connecting Basalt and Leadville.
